Bombay Stock Exchange (India)

An index of the market value of the 30 largest companies traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The index is weighted to reflect the free-float market capitalization of those 30 companies. The base day for the index is Apr. 1, 1979; the listed stocks on that day were given a base value of 100.
