Data are from NCHS National Vital Statistics System. This dataset presents life expectancy at birth, and at 65 and 85 years of age by sex and race for selected years. Life expectancy is the average years of life remaining at birth or at a particular age given current age-specific death rates. Life expectancy is generated from annual life tables.
