The employment data in this dataset are from the BEA's GDP by Industry data, and reflect the methodology for determining employment used in BEA's Regional Economic Accounts. The BEA employment series comprises estimates of the number of jobs, full?time plus part?time. Full?time and part?time jobs are counted at equal weight. Employees, sole proprietors, and active partners are included, but unpaid family workers and volunteers are not included. The Regional Economic Accounts provide a framework for analyzing and comparing individual state and local area economies. The estimates in the regional accounts are consistent with the estimates in the BEA?s national accounts.
